Rules & How It Works
Nova plays by standard WSOP No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament rules. Here's everything you need.
The format
One freeroll tournament every night. No buy-in, no chips to purchase, no in-game currency — you receive a starting tournament stack when you sit down. Play until one player holds every chip. Finish in the money to win a share of the real cash prize.
Registration & the on-time rule
Tournaments are listed up to 7 days in advance. Reserve your seat any time before it starts.
You must be on time. Late registration closes 5 minutes after the start — after that, seats lock, the field is set, and no one else can join. A tournament won't begin with fewer than 8 players; to keep the nightly running, our house regulars fill any empty seats so the game always fires.
Blinds & structure
Blinds rise on a timer through escalating levels (small blind / big blind, with antes kicking in on later levels). Structures — Standard, Turbo, and the Sunday Deep "Major" — are set by the tournament and can be tuned by the organizer. The live clock shows the current level, time to the next, and the average stack.
Betting (No-Limit)
On your turn you may fold, check, call, bet, or raise. Being No-Limit, you can bet any amount up to your entire stack (all-in) at any time. A raise must be at least the size of the previous bet or raise. When players are all-in for different amounts, side pots are formed automatically.
Payouts
Roughly the top 15% of the field finishes "in the money," with a top-heavy payout ladder — the champion takes the largest share. The bubble (one spot before the money) is where it gets tense. Prizes are paid out manually after results are verified.
